Training to Traffic Enforcers in Maldonado on Child Restraint Systems

On March 23, at 9 am., at the Campus Municipal conference room, the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez provided training to the Municipality of Maldonado traffic police officers about the correct use of child restraint systems: child and booster seats in cars.


Safe Return to Class 7th Edition

As in every school start in the past seven years, Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, launched the campaign Safe Return to Class with the aim of raising awareness in the population on the safety conditions necessary to transport children from and to schools, by private cars, school transport, two-wheelers or as pedestrians

Travel to the Future, Safely: Raising Awareness through a Virtual Experience

The Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez and BlueCross & BlueShield from Uruguay presented "Travel to the Future, Safely”, a virtual experience to raise awareness in adults about the risk of transporting children in cars lacking the appropriate restraint system.


The Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez participated in a Road Safety Summit in Washington DC

The "Safe Roads / Safe Kids” summit took place on December 8 and 9. The event was organized by Safe Kids Worldwide and aims to improve road safety visibility on the international agenda in order to reduce child injuries and deaths. The Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, through its Research Coordinator, Florencia Lambrosquini, made a presentation on "Articulation Between the Third Sector and Regional Governments to Manage Child Road Safety".


The Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez presented its Check Up Point at the V Ibero-American Road Safety Congress

The V CISEV was held in Santiago de Chile on November 7 - 9. One of the main aspects of the congress was "Vulnerable Users´ Safety”. The Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, represented by its Training Coordinator, Mathías Silva, delivered a presentation on "Check Up Points for Child Restraint Systems in Uruguay”.

Invited by the Department of Early Childhood of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez´s Training Department delivered a presentation to private kindergarten teachers children (0 - 6 y.o).

The Road Safety Week took place in Colombia between October 24 - 28. In this country more than 5,700 children and adolescents died in the decade 2005 â€" 2015, according to data provided by the Ibero-American Road Safety Observatory.
