Within the context of the launch of the programme "Children Safe in Traffic in Latin America", the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez together with the Primary Education Board (CEIP), national and provincial officials, presented on March 15, the report "Child transport to school, and safety in school zones†and the public campaign "Don´t repeat it this year†that identifies, and attempts to modify incorrect behavior in traffic observed in the report.

Aiming to reduce the number of child victims in road accidents, an agreement between Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez and the Municipality of Canelones was signed on Tuesday, February 27. Both organizations committed to defining actions to guarantee safe child mobility in Canelones.

On January 31 expired the extension of the deadline to present papers focused on the safe mobility of children. The call made by Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez and the National Road Safety Agency of Argentina for Road Safety leaders from different fields, closed with 59 applications registered.
