South-South cooperation promotes child road safety in El Salvador

Within the framework of the South-South cooperation project between Uruguay and El Salvador, called "Strengthening of El Salvador's capacities for the sustainable management of road safety", we began training in child road safety for various related institutions.


Child Road Safety on the international cooperation agenda: presentation of results

With the support of the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we presented to the ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of the region the primary results of the project to expand Child Road Safety in Central America, which we developed in Colombia, El Salvador and Panama, within the framework of international cooperation.


Parliament approved National Motorist's Day in honor of Gonchi

The bill states that "September 11 of each year shall be declared National Motorsports Day". The date was not chosen at random, but evokes the tragic day on which the young driver lost his life during qualifying tests at the Laguna Seca circuit, in the United States, on September 11, 1999.

Authorities participated in the "Re-Thinking Mobility" meeting to promote safe mobility

Within the framework of the Global Road Safety Week, declared by the United Nations, the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez (FGR) in coordination with the PAHO/WHO Representation in Uruguay and the support of the International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee (CITA) and the National Road Safety Unit (UNASEV), organized a meeting to "Rethink Mobility" in order to work towards active and safe mobility, according to the recommendations of the Global Road Safety Plan.
