Present at the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety

Nani Rodríguez, Florencia González and Franco Azzato - president, deputy executive director and technical coordinator respectively - participated as representatives of the Gonzalo Rodríguez Foundation, being one of the few representatives of Latin American organizations present.

This conference, held at the initiative of the United Nations Assembly and co-sponsored by the government of Sweden and the World Health Organization (WHO), aimed to improve global road safety over the next decade.



In this context, Nani Rodríguez presented at the conference the work of the Gonzalo Rodríguez Foundation in the Latin American Children Safe in Traffic program, focused on its Safe School Environments module. In the presentation, the results of the Guaymallén success story were shown, where more than 80 schools have been intervened, impacting more than 25,000 children.

The space served not only to show the work that the foundation develops, but how with low cost actions great results can be obtained.



The Conference culminated in the adoption of the Stockholm Declaration, which reaffirms the commitment to implement Agenda 2030 and will provide guidance until that year, focusing on international cooperation to improve road safety worldwide.
