Agreement with Mercado Libre for CRS promotion

With the aim of assisting parents when buying the most appropriate Child Restraint System (CRS) for their children, we made an agreement with Mercado Libre Uruguay, to make available all the information related to child road safety. As of today, a special section within the Mercado Libre site is available to answer the main questions when buying a CRS.

We must remember that children from birth until they are 1.50 m tall, by law, must use a CRS; therefore, knowing how to identify the different types of systems and knowing some important tips to ensure a good restraint is part of the information that can be found in the space of the Mercado Libre Uruguay website. Once the most suitable system has been identified, users will be able to enter a section to choose which one to buy among those that have those characteristics.

"Choosing the most suitable CRS for each family and occasion is a well-informed decision, that is why we believe it is our responsibility to include in our website as much information as possible for users" said Matías Sandobal, Marketplace manager of Mercado Libre Uruguay; "we also believe it is the company's responsibility to advise our users when choosing the system that best suits their needs, and to help them understand why it is so important to use a suitable CRS" he concluded.

"For the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez this is a key alliance, because it gives visibility to this information from the beginning of the purchase process. We always insist that the best CRS is not necessarily the most expensive one, but the one suitable for the characteristics of the child and the car; that is why it is essential to have all this information at hand before even starting to look for which one to buy" assured Mathías Silva, training manager of Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez.

In addition to the information available, from the website it will also be possible to schedule a virtual consultancy: a video call made by the foundation's specialized technicians to get advice on the correct use and installation of the CRS.
