This measure, included in Act 19.061 (passed in 2013), stated that all new passenger vehicles (non-utility vehicles) not complying with this requirement, could not be sold as from the date mentioned above. The government, however, upon request of just a few brands, decided to extend the deadline until 2019 even though most importers were getting ready for the original date.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tx-noticia\">\n<p>The Fundaci\u00f3n Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez expresses its disagreement with decision and encourages consumers to pay extra attention when purchasing a new car.<\/p>\n<p>Our Child Passenger Safety technicians at the check Up Points, an advisory service provided by the Fundaci\u00f3n since 2012 explaining the correct installation of child restraint systems, have discovered that 90% of child seats are incorrectly installed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Even though child seats can be installed with a seat belt, these anchorage systems (e.g. Isofix or latch) limit the possibility of human error during installation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gonzalorodriguez.org\/es\/nino-seguro\/sistema-de-retencion-infantil\/informacion-para-usuarios\/20112\/introduccion\/\">Correctly installed child restraint systems represent the appropriate protection for children when traveling in a car.<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>Use of CRSs reduces injuries in 75% in the event of a crash, and prevents the child from being expelled from the vehicle, and from impacting other occupants and elements in the vehicle.
