As a tribute in the 17th anniversary of the Uruguayan driver\u00b4s death on September 11, the Fundaci\u00f3n Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez organized an exclusive show of the film \u201cGonchi, la pel\u00edcula\u201d on September 8. The Fundaci\u00f3n is also presenting the Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez Award in different motor racing circuits in the country together with the FUAD and the FUK.<\/p>\n
Associations within the FUAD and the FUK participate in the event by naming the different races during the weekend, \u201cGonzalo \u2018Gonchi\u2019 Rodr\u00edguez\u201d and\/or presenting an award with his name to those drivers previously selected.<\/p>\n
The winning drivers will be chosen by the federations based on their values and attitudes inside and outside the tracks, especially focusing on their solidarity and respect towards their teammates, apart from their effort and perseverance in the discipline.<\/p>\n
The Award is an art piece created by the local artist Ver\u00f3nica V\u00e1zquez in 2009; it acknowledges the best \u201cattitudes\u201d by Uruguayan sports people in different disciplines.<\/p>\n
It is the Fundaci\u00f3n Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez\u00b4s aim that through these tributes, Gonchi\u00b4s kind and unforgettable smile remains forever in the hearts of the Uruguayans<\/p>\n
Winners of the third edition of Gonzalo Gonchi Rodr\u00edguez Prix were:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ignacio Massat selected by the Uruguayan Drivers Association.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Leonardo Sebasti\u00e1n Cavanna Costa selected by Automobile Club of Salto.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Alfredo Bertocchi selected by the Uruguayan Autocross Drivers Club.<\/p>\n
\u2022 C\u00e9sar Reyes selected by the Uruguayan Rally Club.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Daniel Cabeda selected by the Uruguayan Sport Cars Club.<\/p>\n
