Mar\u00eda Fernanda Rodr\u00edguez, the foundation\u00b4s President gave a speech of thanks before the beginning of the show by murga Agarrate Catalina. In her speech she highlighted the importance of the support provided since it allows the Fundaci\u00f3n Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez to generate more projects aiming to raise awareness about child road safety and actions to reduce the number of children killed and injured in Uruguay. \u201cAlthough 2015 was the year with the fewest number of deaths in the last five years, more than 6000 children resulted injured. This is, in fact, a call for action, we are talking about families and children whose lives are dramatically changed as a consequence of something that is preventable,” highlighted Mar\u00eda Fernanda Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n
Also, companies annually contributing to the Fundaci\u00f3n Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez\u00b4s mission were acknowledged. These companies support and commit every action carried out by the organization.<\/p>\n
Murga Agarrate Catalina showed its commitment to actions conducted by Fundaci\u00f3n through their show called “Un d\u00eda de Julio\u201d (A Day in July) presented last Tuesday at Sodre\u00b4s Auditorium. A very effective staging by the performers captivated the audience.<\/p>\n
These fund-raising activities at national and international level are of vital importance to enable the Fundaci\u00f3n Gonzalo Rodr\u00edguez to continue with its actions to prevent child road injuries or even deaths.<\/p>\n
“To share information and implement actions to prevent irreversible damage to children.” That is our challenge, to keep finding key stakeholders to take the actions necessary and protect our children,” concluded Mar\u00eda Fernanda Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
