Safe School Environments Program The program Latin American Safe Children in Transit is an important part of the Gonzalo Rodriguez Foundation’s work that concentrates on protecting children en route to school. The program addresses the issue of traffic safety for youth in many different ways including legislation and enforcement, education in schools, prevention, policies emphasizing safe vehicles and safe vehicle usage, and safe infrastructure. A key part of this larger program is the Safe School Environment program.
Developing road safety knowledge Over the past few months, the Gonzalo Rodriguez Foundation has continued to work to improve road safety, bringing together global experts and Uruguayan professionals to share best practices and bring knowledge to the country.
