Safe mobility for families

May is a key month for road safety, both globally and locally, and for the last five years "Yellow May" has been held in our country, with the aim of reinforcing the value of good traffic habits and respecting the key rules of the road system.

Within this framework, an agreement was signed between the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez and the National Directorate of Social Development of the Ministry of Social Development.

This agreement aims to promote safe and healthy mobility for children from 0 to 3 years of age and their families throughout the country.

This union will make it possible to work directly with families on how mobility is in Uruguay, to generate specificities to contribute to the safe movement of children, families and pregnant women.

In addition, it will generate a key line of research to visualise this problem and show how the mobility of children occurs in our country. For the first time, a segment on mobility and road safety will be included in the Child Development and Health Nutrition Survey.

From MIDES and Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez we consider this innovation and safety agreement essential, including for the first time in our work objectives safe mobility for all early childhood.
