The lack of data and information on Child Road Safety issues in Uruguay and the LAC region is a challenge to be faced by organizations working on prevention when it comes to develop plans and projects to increase knowledge about the topic to reduce risk factors associated to road crashes involving children.
As a result of the methodology used and objectives set at Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez, the Research Department is created. This department works independently, together with strategic partners that contribute with technical elements to the development of relevant scientific studies.
The research area composed of professionals from different disciplines, generates input to support the inclusion of Road Safety issues on the public policy agenda, into the academic community, and the public opinion in Latin America and the Caribbean, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the region.
Likewise, we develop assessment and monitoring tools to evaluate impact of our work.
