Child Road Safety is the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez´s main area of work, addressing the different types of child mobility.
More than 500 children die every day globally, 95% of whom live in low and middle-income countries. In said context Uruguay and Latin America are no exception, this is the reason why regional application programs have been developed from the beginning.
How do we do it?
By promoting child road safety through the following lines of action: Research, Training, Incidence
We aim to generate input to increase knowledge to then include child road safety on the public policy agenda, as well as developing recommendations based on scientific evidence.
We contribute with the transmission of relevant and timely information, with the development of skills and with the use of tools needed by institutions and individuals from different areas of action to promote the protection of children and adolescents as road users.
We generate networks that allow us to include child road safety in the public agenda. This is made possible through the implementation of joint/coordinated actions with several relevant stakeholders.
